Reconstruindo Sorrisos: Projeto devolve o sorriso a mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica no Sol Nascente

Os atendimentos começam no dia 15 de abril para mulheres residentes do Sol Nascente e redondezas, mas as inscrições continuam

A cada minuto, 25 brasileiras sofrem violência doméstica, estatística alarmante que deixa marcas profundas, muitas vezes, traumáticas. Desfiguradas, muitas mulheres enfrentam dificuldades para reintegrar-se ao mercado de trabalho e sofrem com a baixa autoestima decorrente das agressões sofridas.

Em resposta a essa realidade, o Instituto Omni, em parceria com o Ministério das Mulheres, está de volta com a segunda edição do Programa “Reconstruindo Sorrisos”, que tem o objetivo de restaurar a dignidade perdida por meio de tratamentos estéticos reparadores e capacitando-as para empreenderem.

O projeto visa a recuperação gratuita do sorriso de 800 mulheres de baixa renda, a maioria das quais perdeu dentes em decorrência da violência doméstica. Cada beneficiária terá acesso a até seis tratamentos odontológicos, totalizando 4.800 procedimentos, incluindo tartarectomia, profilaxia, polimento coronário, restauração em resina, reconstrução dental com pino de fibra, cirurgias e moldagem para confecção de prótese dentária.

De acordo com a presidente do Instituto Omni, Elisângela Araújo, a ação teve início em janeiro de 2023 com um projeto piloto. A iniciativa impactou a vida de mais de 30 mulheres, que tiveram suas vidas mudadas através de um novo sorriso.

Neste ano, além da reconstrução física, o projeto tem como propósito reconstruir histórias e devolver a essas mulheres os sorrisos perdidos. Para isso, serão capacitadas 1.000 mulheres, visando sua autonomia socioeconômica e o desenvolvimento de novas habilidades profissionais, com cursos nas áreas de gastronomia e beleza, abrangendo pães e biscoitos, confeitaria e doces, pizzaiolo e salgados, marmitaria, maquiagem e estética.

“O Instituto Omni traz esse projeto para atender mulheres e ressignificá-las para a vida, pois muitas, após serem vítimas de violência doméstica, perdem seus dentes. Seu sorriso é gratificante; ver como um sorriso transforma vidas. Tivemos um projeto voluntário na Estrutural em janeiro de 2023, onde atendemos 30 mulheres. Hoje, elas se empoderaram e estão vivendo outra realidade. Começamos a ter muita procura para que esse projeto tivesse continuidade, devido ao aumento do índice em Brasília. Campanhas foram feitas de modo que a denúncia contra o agressor fosse registrada. Aos poucos, as mulheres estão indo atrás de seus direitos e se libertando de seus algozes.”, destaca Elisângela.

Atendimentos:
Os atendimentos serão realizados por um consultório móvel, percorrendo oito regiões administrativas: Ceilândia, Planaltina, Paranoá, Santa Maria, Samambaia, São Sebastião, Estrutural e Sol Nascente. Em cada cidade, serão atendidas 100 mulheres, totalizando 600 procedimentos.

Critérios de Seleção:
As mulheres interessadas serão selecionadas através de entrevista social, medida protetiva ou boletim de ocorrência policial. As inscrições já começaram para moradoras do Sol Nascente, que será a primeira cidade contemplada, e os atendimentos têm início no próximo dia 15 de abril.
