Blitz promove educação contra incêndios florestais
Realizada pela Secretaria de Meio Ambiente, com a participação de diversos órgãos que lidam com o fogo no dia a dia, ação em Planaltina aposta na prevenção

Ano após ano, o número de queimadas dispara no Distrito Federal a partir de junho, época em que começa a estiagem. O tempo frio e a baixa umidade do ar favorecem os incêndios florestais. Maus hábitos da população também ajudam no aumento das queimadas. A Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Proteção Animal (Sema) promoveu uma blitz educativa de prevenção aos incêndios nesta quinta-feira (6). O alerta era dado aos motoristas que trafegavam na BR-020, próximo à Estação Ecológica de Águas Emendadas, em Planaltina.
A ação contou com a participação de diversos órgãos que lidam com o fogo no dia a dia, como Corpo de Bombeiros, Brasília Ambiental, Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renováveis (Ibama) e ICMBio. Vinte alunos da Escola Classe I da cidade atuaram como multiplicadores da ação.
“É um período de seca, o mato está alto e uma ponta de cigarro jogada pela janela é capaz de fazer um estrago significativo. Então temos que ter esse cuidado para minimizar os incêndios florestais”, destacou o presidente do Brasília Ambiental, Rôney Nemer. “Juntamos todos esses órgãos, numa ação de governo não só distrital, mas federal para um trabalho de conscientização”, explicou.
Dezenas de carros foram parados pela Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) e os motoristas receberam informações sobre a proibição e os perigos da queima de lixo e resto de poda, apontados pelos órgãos como as principais causas de incêndio na capital. A revista Almanaque do Fogo, que trata da prevenção e combate às queimadas, também foi entregue aos condutores.
Moradora de Planaltina, a enfermeira Nayane Thais, 36, foi parada e recebeu explicações sobre o tema. “A gente vê as pessoas juntando lixo e folhas secas para queimar. E isso prejudica a gente mesmo. Por exemplo, a respiração das crianças fica muito ruim nessa época”, apontou.
Umas das idealizadoras da proposta, a coordenadora do Plano de Prevenção e Combate aos Incêndios Florestais do DF (PPCIF), Carolina Schubart, frisou que a ideia vem sendo bem recebida pela população. “Estamos já na quinta blitz realizada este ano, levando sempre os estudantes para falar com os motoristas. Além da participação dos agentes ambientais que são os que lidam diretamente no combate ao fogo” , citou.
Para os alunos de Planaltina, que usavam máscaras de lobo-guará, a satisfação era grande em poder passar adiante a aula de cidadania aprendida, ao lado dos técnicos ambientais. “Nos sentimos importantes por estar fazendo algo pelo nosso mundo. Com esse tanto de incêndios, como vamos viver sem as nossas árvores?”, perguntou Maria Eduarda Santos, 11.
“O incêndio prejudica bastante não só as pessoas, como os animais e as florestas. É legal poder ajudar a sociedade a proteger a natureza” , concluiu Lara Rodrigues, 10.
